My First Christmas as a Pastoral Resident and a Wife
Christmas & the holidays really snuck up on me this year, and it's not b/c I somehow forgot or b/c it didn't feel like Christmas; rather, it was because there was just TOO much preparation to do beforehand! 3 Midweek Advent Services, 4 Christmas Eve Services, 1 Christmas Day Service and Dinner, prayers to write, presents to wrap, hoods to borrow, snow to trample through ... the list goes on and on! And all of a sudden, just like that, it was here. Christmas is such a busy season for pastors, and I never fully appreciated that til now!
edit it
All in all, it was a great first Christmas w/ the hubbs and as a pastoral resident. No complaints, just in need of some r&r now!Pictures are of:
